Join the Friends of the Western Sullivan Public Library for their annual meeting on Monday, September 21, 2026, at 5:30PM at the library in Narrowsburg, 198 Bridge St.  Being part of the Friends group is a great way to get involved, promote literacy, raise awareness and advocate for your local library.

 

Established in 2013, the non-profit, volunteer organization raised thousands of dollars for the local library through book sales, raffles, and donations.  These funds contributed to the library replacing furniture for the community rooms, creating the Friends' Cafe, replacing boilers, adding learning computers in the children's rooms, helping replace the HVAC, and so much more!

 

Board elections will be held at the annual meeting.  The treasurer's seat is currently open.  The group is also looking for members to help with social media, membership, and events.  

  

Board President, Megan Yelekli, encourages anyone who loves their local library to attend the meeting.  "Volunteering with the Friends of the Western Sullivan Public Library is a great way to get involved, make connections, and help make a difference in your community. I've worked with some incredible people in my time with the Friends, while giving back to the library that was a second home for me growing up."
