Home school programs

We are so excited to have the Woodland Weavers & Spinners Guild back at WSPL! We think it’s going to be a lot of fun for all ages. Join us for live demonstrations and learn the ancient art of spinning yarn! The Guild will be set up with their spinning wheels, drop spindles, and all the roving one can dream of. Join us on Tuesday, March 14th to witness the ladies turn roving into yarn - and all the crafty things we can do from there! We’ll be at our Delaware Free Branch from 3:00 - 6:00pm come for any or all of the time.

Another great opportunity for a program that’s fun and educational for the whole family is our HomeSchool Hangout. Teens can tuck away in the cozy reading nook and hang out. Adults enjoy time to connect with other homeschool parents and let the little ones free to enjoy open play or our monthly activities. This month we’ll explore Women’s History Month. There will be simple activities for younger children to enjoy and learn from. Older children are encouraged to share their independent Biography projects about a historic woman that they want to learn more about. We will set aside time for everyone to present their projects if they wish. Space will be made for posters to be displayed until the next session as well. We will meet at the Tusten-Cochecton Branch of the Western Sullivan Public Library at 1:30pm on Friday, March 31st. For information visit us online at www.WSPLonline.org.
