Poet Laureate and Special Guests--February 8th

Please join Sullivan County’s first-ever poet laureate Mark Blackford with special guests, Bizzy Coy and William Fellenberg for a reading Saturday, February 8th at 2pm at the Tusten-Cochecton Branch of the Western Sullivan Public Library. 

Mark is a lifelong resident of Sullivan County, having grown up in Monticello and residing currently with his wife and kids in Woodridge. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Creative Writing from Valdosta State University (GA, 2010), and after a brief foray into education decided to pursue the craft of writing instead. His prior work has appeared in WayMark: Voices of the Valley, Odradek, and the Calling All Poets Series (CAPS) Anthology: 2014. He has work forthcoming in the CAPS 20th Anniversary Anthology, as well as in Forbidden Peak Press.  In 2019 he was awarded the high honor of being Sullivan County’s first Poet Laureate.
